A Family Affair


A very special mention goes to the wonderful Ms. Browne, who had not one, not two, but three daughters proudly represented on the winning Goldsmiths team - what a wonderful family connection to this success.

We are also immensely proud to see six of our past pupils (Lisa Seery, Sinéad Seery, Charleigh Seery, Shona Neary, Maisie Tormey, Roisín Nally) playing key roles in the win. We are incredibly proud of you all!

Goldsmiths Ladies Conquer Westmeath!


Today we had the victorious Goldsmiths Ladies team with the Westmeath LGFA intermediate Trophy that they won at the weekend! The whole School was overjoyed to welcome the girls who did the parish extremely proud over the weekend. Best of luck in your Leinster campaign! We will all be supporting you!

Corlea Bog Field Trip


Fourth, fifth and sixth class travelled to Corlea Bog on 8th October. They learned about the the Iron Age road, built in 148 BC, which is the largest of its kind to have been uncovered in Europe. They also went on a bog nature walk to see remaining plants and wildlife of the season and built a bog in a bottle! This trip was part of the RE:PEAT Bog Academy Schools initiative.

Open Night


The School will hold an Open Night inviting all parents to attend on Thursday, 02nd of October 2025. This is an opportunity for the parents to meet the staff of the school and familiarise themselves with the School facilities.

Cross Country 2025


Children from 1st to 6th class travelled today to the grounds of Belvedere House, Mullingar, to take park in the Westmeath Cross Country County Finals. All the children did brilliantly and had a great day! We even picked up a few medals; well done Donnacha, Kaylee & Dearbhla!

Culture Week


As part of our Culture Week celebrations the 2nd to 6th Classes got the opportunity to construct 2D shapes through weaving willow. All the children loved using their creative streaks to weave their own designs like their ancestors did before them!

Farm Safety Talk


We received a fantastic talk from Alma from Agrikids today discussing how we can look after ourselves helping out on the farm. She informed and discussed with the kids some of the dangers that come with being on the farm. Thank you Alma for the brilliant talk!

Sports Day 2025


We held our annual sports day in the School yesterday and it was a massive success! Our amazing students showed off all their fantastic sporting talents through out the day! They all got the opportunity to enjoy an ice cream in the gorgeous weather too! It was great to see all the smiles on show!

Habitat Heroes!


Our first class have been learning all about the importance of looking after animals habitats. In particular they’ve learned about the important roles bees play in our world! With the help of our talented former student, Abigail McCarthy, they created this fantastic 3D mini beasts habitat! Well done and keep up the amazing work looking out for our world!

Ardnagrath’s Talent Show


Yesterday we held Ardnagrath’s Annual Talent Show with the help of our amazing music teacher, Dee Dee. Students from junior infants right up to 6th class had the opportunity to put their amazing talents on show to the rest of the School. It was a brilliant day filled with fun, laughter and no shortage of talent. Well done to everyone for having the courage to perform in front of their peers!

Half Day - Friday 13th of June


A reminder that the children will finish at 12.00pm this Friday, 13th of June. This is to allow teachers complete training in the new Department of Education ‘Bí Cineálta’ scheme which aims to implement procedures designed to prevent and address bullying behaviour in primary and post-primary schools.

Senior School Tour


The 4th, 5th and 6th classes travelled to Lilliput Adventure Centre last Friday for their School Tour. They had an action packed day which involved orienteering, capture the flag, rock climbing, abseiling, bog jumping and stand up paddle boarding to mention just a few. And of course, no school tour is complete without a stop to Supermacs on the way home. Well done to all who took part in the this brilliant day!

The Junior, Senior and First class travelled to Turoe Pet Farm last Tuesday. The had a fun filled day and really enjoyed seeing all the animals on show and spending the afternoon in ‘Jump City’ bouncing!
